Adventure of the ISS
The 25 Year
"Everything you need to know about the International Space Station"

Earth felt too small for us, so we said "Let´s move to space!"
The ISS: A shared project made by 15 different countries.. No one can claim it for themselves!
1998: First Chapter - 'We Built a New Home
In November 20th 1998, Russia launched their first Module named 'Zarya' into space. Zarya is considered the first brick for the construction of the ISS.
In December, America launched their own Module named 'Unity' and merged it with Zarya. With that, the world´s most expensive lego set had started being built in space.
2000: Humans are Moving In
November 2nd, 2000. The Expedition-1 team (made up of one American and 2 Russian astronauts) said: ''Hello World, we´ve moved.''
After that, the ISS was never empty. For 25 years, it has always been like a home with open, welcoming doors.

2025 And Later: Is it Over?
The ISS is 25 years old. People say: "She´s a little tired but she´s still a hardworking apartment." The ISS is planned to stay open until 2030. This means that for a couple years more, new astronauts will continue to be the "Landlords of space." Maybe new space stations will be built by private companies. Like "Tearing down an apartment and rebuilding it as a big residance."
